Yeah right! Obviously Andy Williams was drunk when he decided to sing this one.
"It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
It's the hap -happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
There'll be scary ghost stories
It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
There'll be much mistltoeing "
Happiest season of all? I am not seeing happy people. I see stressed people. The economy is in the toilet, people are angry, and grumpy.
Holiday greetings? Where? I do not see that, and no I do NOT want to see the gay happy meetings. Keep it to yourselves people. Scary ghost stories?!?! Are you freaking kidding me? Seriously? Scary ghost stories @ Christmas. If he is referring to A Christmas Carol, was that really scary? And isn't there supposed to be a lesson learned there?
Much mistltoeing? O.K. so @ this time of year it is alright to go around kissing everyone you see? So if I made a clip or something for my hair, and attached some mistletoe, it would be OK for me to go around kissing people all year long? Well, that might actually be the best part of the song.
Seriously though, isn't this suposed to be the happiest time of year? Where is the joy and cheer? How do I help spread some warm fuzziness and smiles? What is it that we are really looking for?

O.K., so I know that my blog is not that fun or exciting. I mostly just complain about the idiots that surround me, but I did discover this blog:
http://theadventuresofpatoneil.blogspot.com . I found it from the 11 lamest blogs list that was on MSN. This guy is FUNNY! Seriously, if you are an uptight, blocked person, do NOT go there. Otherwise, enjoy. Meth Ninja... geez what a concept.

BAH!
So the country is in pretty bad shape right now. I mean let's take a look at the election situation. Thankfully Hillary is out of the running, but seriously, Obama? Do we really want him in office? I'm going to throw my 2 cents in and say no. PEOPLE wake up. Not that McCain is perfect, but he will not run the country into the ground with socialistic ideas. Why should a man who has never served his country in uniform be allowed to pass judgement on the military? He does not know what it means to wear the uniform. ACORN wasn't sitting outside a mall telling teenagers they could register to vote, then pointing them to the booths saying " Over there you can vote for McCain". No no no, they, a supposedly neutral party organization, encouraged 15-17 yr olds to register then go FRAUDULENTLY go vote for Obama. My friend @ work, always tells me that there is a prediction that the world is going to end 12/12/12, and it will be brought about by the charismatic man who was able to convince the nations everything he said and did was right. She thinks it is Obama who is the anti Christ. I'm just saying.....
Bail out? phhhhtt. I heard on the radio that if they took the money being used for the bail out, and divided it amongst the American citizens, that were legal, and over 18, we would each get $420,000. I could pay off my debt with that. I like that idea better, give all of us the money, let us get ourselves out of debt and put the money BACK into the economy. Sounds like a plan.
Thankfully we are getting another stimulus check this year, hopefully the checks won't bounce. I mean we are giving all this money to the bail out, do they have enough money for the rest of us?

Anticipation
So I have been going through the interview process @ work for a position that I REALLY want. Over the past few weeks I have gone from one stage to the next, and with each step the anticipation gets harder and stronger. I muddled through it, as we always do. From what I have heard what began as 16 candidates, came down to 2 finalist. I had my final presentation on Wednesday. It seemed to go pretty well. I was nervous, I mean this is like the most important job interview/process of my life. This is mt dream position and the only reason I am working at this company. I was told a decision would be made by the end of the week. Of course yesterday was the LONGEST day ever. So hopefully once I get to work today I will hear something, otherwise the anticipation will do me in.

School Daze
So my 7 yr old is going into 2ND grade next week. Where did the summer go? I took him shopping and told him he could pick his own clothes, determine his own style. He is at that stage where Mommy does not know what is best in regards to his clothes. Or his hair. So I spent $130, which at first made me gasp, then I thought about all that we bought, and it really was NOT that much. Yet he has always had friends who have given us clothes, and at most I have to buy his backpack, and new shoes, and a few pair of jeans. Well the supplies, shoes and back pack were $75 on a different trip. So all in all I spent $205 on my 7 yr old going back to school.
Is this extreme? Or about right?

Summer Lovin?
So summer is in full swing, we have the hot weather, the short clad bodies, the crowded swimming pools, even more road rage, tempers rising along with temperatures. Weddings to plan. Yes that is right, a wedding to plan. OH NOT MINE, my sisters'. I am so very excited for her, she finally set the date. October 25th, 2008. That doesn't leave much time does it? Who knew that they were so expensive? $135 for a basic veil?!?! $15 for the ribbon that goes with the dress?!?! $10 for the dress bag?!?! (you would think if you are paying $400+ for a dress, they would throw in a $10 bag.
Then we move in to the invitations, the bridal shower, the bachelorette party. Which is not going to be your typical fanfare event. You know the kind, drunken girls drinking out of glasses that are shaped like a penis, or eating penis shaped cake. No we were planning the San Antonio Ghost Tours limo service. Until we discovered that it is $900. So now we are looking at cosmic bowling for shots, or some type of scavenger hunt.
So while she is running here and there for dresses, rings, and shoes, I am running here and there for ideas for the bridal shower and bachelorette party. Any ideas? Any one? Bueller?.....

You're my kindred spirit, my diamond in the rough.
The breath my body craves, my friend when times are tough.
The laughter in my voice, the smile on my face.
You're the one that brings me, to this happy place.
You're fingers wipe the tears, that sometimes seem to fall.
No matter what your doing, you always take my call.
You're the light in my darkness, the shadow in my day.
You're the hand that holds me close,in many loving ways.
You're my kindred spirit, the one that fills my soul.
You're my kindred spirit, the one that makes me whole.

The Diet Challenge
So my sister, 2 of our friends and I are taking the big challenge. The biggest loser will win $400 to go buy new clothes. Well the 1st week I lost 9 lbs., I'm not sure how much I lost this week, but my clothes actually fit differently. LORD I hope that means I'm losing some more weight, because lord knows I want a big ole bowl of pasta, or mashed potatoes. I am hanging in there, hopefully I will win because I want some new shoes. LOL

Dating or lack thereof
My friends tell me to get over this guy that I was into @ work, and move on.
The thing is, where do I go? I mean, my bags are packed, and I am so ready to MOVE, I just don't have a lease to sign.
So let's talk dating sites. My sister thinks that I need to sign up for E Harmony. I was on a dating site before, but it was a free site, and I met some real losers. I'm wary about dating sites. I know that they are more and more popular, but are they really acceptable? I have never been married, but I am ready yo meet "the one". How do people meet each other these days?

Reflections
When I look into the mirror
Is it a true reflection I see?
Or is it someone else,
Just playing the part of me?
At times I see a young girl
Full of vigor, her entire life left;
Yet other times I see a frail woman,
On the verge of death.
Back and forth, in and out
Through the barriers of time
My so called “self” the only reflection
And reality? I can not find it.
The life I lead a fabrication
Reality banished to a dark & endless void
Seeming never to be released….
And speak of a life well enjoyed,
The lies and distortions are allowed to bathe in the light….
As opposite as black and white; lies and truths
Long days and lonely nights.
So when I look in a mirror is it a TRUE reflection I see?
Or is it just someone else playing the part of me?

Can we talk?
So I work in a call center where we deal with bank representatives. All day long I talk to these people. Basically when you think of someone that works in a bank, you might assume that they are intelligent. Seriously, wouldn't you hope that someone who deals with your money has some semblance of intelligence, or common sense? You'd hope it would be both. However when some of them call in for assistance I wonder sometimes how they managed to get dressed by themselves in the morning.
How do you expect me to access an account for you, if you do not have the account number for me? Why are you calling me, if you do not have what you need? You know that I am going to ask for the account number, yet time after time, they act surprised. Like I'm some kind of psychic who can sense what account we are dealing with. How about if they want to cancel an order they placed, and I advise them that we can't see it in our system, and they ask me if I canceled it. Didn't I just say that I couldn't see the order? Well how can I cancel something that I cannot see?
O.K., so lets move from the bank reps to John Q. Public. Have you ever seen those women (I use the term lightly) who are pulling on their skirts, or shorts, or tops? Well I want to ask them why they wore the damn short skirt, that shows their ass, yet keep pulling it down, so that no one can see their ass. They KNOW that it is short, they know that it is going to be revealing, so stop pulling on it, it wont grow. Trust me!! O.K. so what happened to manners? Have you ever been walking down the aisle in a store and someone bumps into and keeps walking without saying a word? Or someone cuts in front of you in line at the gas station? Tailgaters, man I love to go tap tap tap on my break when another car is trying to make babies w/ mine. What is it about people today that they do not care if they are rude?
I think that is enough complaining for one day. Truly I just needed to vent.

Look At Me
Look at me not thru me,
See me for who I really am
I am a mother, a daughter
A sister and a friend.
This body is just a vessel
Taking me thru life’s adventures
I am more that just the clothes I wear,
And the hair on top of my head.
Look at me not thru me,
Tell me what you see.
I am not your doormat, or your whore,
Your maid, nor your cook.
If you cannot see me for who I am
You need to take a closer look.
There is a soul inside this shell,
A being that is broken and hurt,
Living in her own private hell.
Look at me not thru me,
See me for who I really am
I am a mother, a daughter
A sister, and a friend.
See me for who I really am

The Fight
This is from my angry period.
Sitting alone in my room at night….
Wondering if I am alone in this fight.
It is the fight for survival
Only the fittest will win,
The rest of us will sit alone
Waiting for our lives to end.
We are brainwashed by society
To try to alter who we are
Change yourself to please another
And victory is not that far.
Flipping the pages of a magazine
Seeing the beautiful people,
Makes me want to scream.
People are too concerned
With burning and being burned,
They don’t care about who we truly are
Only that you look good,
and drive a fancy car.
There are those of us who have a lot to offer,
Like warmth, compassion, and the ability to share.
And we too would be victors of the fight
If only about the material things
We as society did not care.
Sitting alone in my room at night….
Wondering if I am alone in this fight.
It is the fight for survival
Only the fittest will win,
The rest of us will sit alone

Star Wars Chicks
This is a great web site. I like to peruse it every now and then. The following is a link to my absolute favorite article. It is called "Everything a Chick Needs to Know She Can Learn From Star Wars" http://www.starwarschicks.com/humor/EverythingAChick.shtml
Here are a few of my favorite adages:
* Be careful who you kiss -- you never know when they could turn out to be your brother
*Always have a new outfit for every occasion
*Remember: You're a princess. You're brother is only a farmer
*You can out-shoot and out-maneuver any man you know in the Rebellion that you lead...but be sure to scream and run when you see a Mynock
*Just because a man is frozen in carbonite doesn't mean he isn't sexy
So yeah, I'm all about Star Wars. I am nerd, I can admit that. My favorite character from Episodes 1-3 is Qui-Gon Jin. And from 4-6, who can deny Han Solo's charm, and swagger? I am raising a Lil Star Wars nerd. He is all about Darth Vader. I think that most boys his age, like the Vader. He has about 4 light sabers, the Darth Vader mask, and bank. He plays his guitar, and puts the mask on and sings "Luke, I am your father" "Impressive, most Impressive, but you are not a Jedi yet". So if you want to hear one of the best parodys by Weird Al, go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-gi4Nt_xxg&feature=related
Anyway, that is about all I have to say right now. Perhaps tomorrow I will wax poetic, in other words, I will post a poem perhaps.

My First Time
So, I have a friend that I work with, who blogs here. Is that a proper word? Blogs? Well anyway, Im not really sure how this works. He said you just kinda write what you are thinking about. So right now I'm thinking about a Sonic Rt. 44 Tea, but I dont think that is what he meant. I think that this is going to be a slow going process. I mean, who am I to just blurt out how I feel about the war, gas prices, health care reform? Does anyone REALLY care about what I have to say? Or will I just be adding more garbage?
